Support KCAA during this year’s Great Give!

Dear Kitsap Fresh Users and Supporters,

The Kitsap Community and Agriculture Alliance (KCAA) made a substantial donation to Kitsap Fresh this year to underline our support. We understand that Kitsap Fresh makes a tremendous contribution to the health of our local agricultural community.

And, as consumers of locally grown, high quality foods – you do too. And you know that good, healthy agriculture is regenerative.

Well, so is community support.

Now, you can play your part and donate to the KCAA during The Great Give to help the KCAA regenerate our financial aquifer.  Your donation will allow us to continue to provide resources, education, and fiscal support to the agriculture community in Kitsap.

The Kitsap Great Give is an annual online giving event benefiting local organizations. This event provides much-needed funds for organizations like the KCAA, and sheds light on the organizations’ missions and how they benefit the community.

How you can give to the KCAA during the Great Give:

Step 1: At any time between April 1 and April 16, go to the Kitsap Great Give website (www.kitsapgreatgive.org).

Step 2: Navigate to the KCAA profile page (from the leader board or search bar) to donate.

Step 3: Donate! You can donate any amount that suits you. Every dollar you donate will be proportionally matched by the event sponsors!

Here are some other examples of what the KCAA is currently accomplishing in our community:

  • Providing regular educational events for new and beginning farmers in conjunction with the WSU Extension.
  • Providing scholarships for young farmers participating in the Kitsap County Livestock Auction.
  • Supporting the Kitsap Agritourism Coalition with resources and financial aid for this year’s Farm Tour.
  • Working with the Kitsap County Council to advocate for local agriculture and craft the agriculture portion of the county’s Comprehensive Plan
  • We have a lot of other exciting initiatives planned for this coming year. Check out kitsapag.org online to stay in the loop!
